Well this Tuesday I started my guitar lessons (should I say classes) at the MDC. It’s a non-credit class of course but still is good to take it at the College.
The good thing about MDC is that makes really affordable things that otherwise would be pretty much privative to learn or take. For instance I took SCUBA Diving Classes and I got certified and if I remember I just paid $135. Other places (south in the keys for instance) ask you over $300 just for 3 classes. I got to take a whole semester.
The Guitar class is kinda the same, I paid $140 and is gonna be more than 18 hours. This great specially for a rookie like me.
My first class was really nice. The only down was that I did not had a guitar (way to go). But I didn’t miss it, because a classmate let me use his. Seems pretty interesting. I actually started to understand weird concepts about music, music notation, notes, etc. By the way, if you want to learn an instrument and your wife happens to tell you that you must learn basic/plain music first, just don’t fight her and follow her advice (Ana Love you, next time I am gonna listen).
Anyway, seems like this summer is gonna be fun. We have family coming over, Guitar, my Baby Girl (Valentina), and the most important: the grace, the favor and the love of the Lord shinning upon my face.
PS: I’ll let you know my progress.
